AUSTRALIAN CLUB’S GUESTS • At a musicale held by the Australian Club in Hay’s lounge, the opportunity was taken to bid farewell to Mr and Mrs J. Beanland, who will leave shortly for. Australia. On her arrival a bouquet was presented to Mrs Beanland.' : The entertaining programme included songs by Mesdameis R. E. Wright and Buchanan, Miss Buchanan, land Mr South; Shakespearean recitation, Mrs C. McKay; sketch, Mr Conway; operatic dance. Miss Joan Ritphie; violin solos. Master John Beggs. Miss *V Cooper was accompanist. Amongst those, present were Mesdames J. Beanland, G. Thurston, T. Fowler. R. E. Wright, F. Cooper, Ritchie, E. A. Williamson. T. Taylor. E. Mac Kay, H. Farrier, Huggins, Buchanan, Rogers, Misses Liscombe, Buchanan, Messrs J. Beanland, G. Thurston. G. Cooper, J. D’Arcy, G. W. Mac Donald, Welton, Cubane, H. Farrier, Kirk, E. A. Williamson, Huggins, Edwards, Allwright, E.' Johnson, A. Courts, Ritchie, Master John Rogers. KINDERGARTEN SOCIAL Members of the Mothers’ Club of the North Linwood Free Kindergarten . entertained a number of friends at an enpoyable social held recently at the kindergarten. The guests included representatives of the Selwyn and Sydenham kindergartens. The programme included songs by Mrs R. E. Wright; instrumental trio. Misses Martin. Furze, and Suckling; tap dances. Misses Wilson and Pocock; pianoforte solos, Mesdames Peters and Femmell. Mrs Lamont was accompanist. Prizes' were won by Mrs Teague, Messrs Thornton, and Lament. •; Amongst those present were Mesdames R. ,E. Wright, H. D. Thornton, D. A. Lamont, C. Rutland, J. Mills, Stevens, Peters, M, Cameron; E.
