BLOMFIELD BEATS KENNEDY FAST AND LAWLESS BOUT “Lofty” Blomfield added to his list of successes this season when he beat Jack Kennedy by one fall in a thrilling match seen oy a huge crowd at the Theatre Royal last night. Both men were \ cautioned many times—sometimes many times in each round —for lawless tsictlcs ' but the crowd enjoyed the tussle. Kennedy was the aggressor in the last round, scoring heavily with elbow-jolts. Blomfield took a flying toe-hold, 1 however, and tried hard to get the use of the ropes for his octopus clamp. But he failed. Then Kennedy had a turn, and with a headiock threw Blomfield out of the ring. When the round ended Kennedy was striving hard, for an equalising fall—but the gong beat nim to it. RAINES DISQUALIFIED MATCH AGAINST MOEN (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) HASTINGS. June 22. A wrestling bout in Hastings to-night between Andy Moen (16st 81b) and Dick Raines (16st 41b) ended with Raines being disqualified in the seventh round after each man Had secured a fall. The bout was characterised by rough tactics from Raines, who saw "booed” by the large crowd. Raines took the first fall in the fourth round, after three backloop slams and a body press. Moen equalised in the sixth after a series of headlocks, with a body press. Raines threw Moen out of the ring in the seventh, and refused to let him return, using his knee on Moen’s face as he tried' to come through the ropes. Raines pulled Moen over the ropes twice, and jolted him out again. The referee intervened when Raines jolted Moen when the latter was out of the ring. Raines persisted, and was disqualified. blomfield beats Kennedy on POINTS (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM,! NELSON, June 22. A points decision was given in Blomfleld’s favour in the wrestling match against Kennedy last evening. The bout was of a high standard. Kennedy secured a fall in the third round, Blomfield drawing level in the sixth.

TOURIST AND HILL DRAW (FBES3 AS3OCU.TIOX TELEGRAM.) THAMES, June 22. After eight strenuous rounds in a professional wrestling contest between Abe Tourist and Vic Hill, the match ended in a draw. Tourist secured the first fall in the fourth round with a body press after a series of flying tackles. Hill evened the score in the last round with a flying toehold. Tourist submitted.
