KNOCKED DOWN BY VAN
INQUEST INTO DEATH OP MRS E. C. RIDDIFORD (PBEBB ASSOCIATION. TBUCGBAM.) WELLINGTON. June 17. The inquest into the death of Mrs Eleanor Caroline Hiddiford, aged 74. widow of Edward Joshua Riddiford. was held to-day at Lower Hutt. The District Coroner (Mr E. Gilbertson) returned a verdict that Mrs Riddiford died at her residence. 74 Woburn road. Lower Hutt, from injuries suffered through being knocked down in Woburn road by a-motor-van driven by Robert Richmond Southorn. a butcher, of White's Line. East Moera, and residing at 5 Alice street, Lower Hutt. Dr. W. J. Hutchinson said that Mrs Riddiford suffered a fractured skull and died without regaining consciousness.
