MEXICAN OIL DEAL
Reported Sale To German Market PAYMENT IN MACHINERY AND MATERIALS (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT.) (Received June IS, 10 p.m.) NEW YORK, June 16. The Mexican Government has completed a deal through a New York firm for the export of 10,000,000 barrels, consisting largely of expropriated British and American oil, in the ensuing six months, says the Mexican City correspondent of the “New York Times.”
Sixty per cent, of the payment will be in German materials and machinery and the remainder will be cash. It is understood that no provision has been made to provide amortisation for the expropriated companies out of this deal. It is believed the oil is designed principally for German markets.
