STOCK SALES
METHVEN There was a complete absence of store sheep at the Methven sale on Thursday. However several peps of fat ewes and lambs were offered and sold at satisfactory prices. Cattle were represented by only five head while 16 pigs were penned.
GERALDINE About 1000 fat lambs and 250. fat ewes were penned at the fortnightly stock sale at Geraldine on Wednesday. .Exporters competed keenly but there , was little change in. values. The range of prices was as follows: Fat Sheep—Lambs, best XBs 7d to 21s 7d; lambs, medium 17s to 17s 10d: lambs, light 15s 4d to 16s 4d; wethers, 23s 4d to 25s 10d; ewes, best 15s to 16s 10d; ewes, medium 12s to 13s lOd. Store Sheep—Ewe lambs, small 14s Id to 15s 6d, two and four-tooth wethers 16s to 17s Bd, wether lambs to 10s.
