ST. JAMES’ PARK CROQUET CLUB A pleasant time was spent at Ballantynes, when members of St. James’ Park Croquet Club were “at home” to friends and members of other clubs at the first of a series of monthly card parties, arranged to augment the pavilion fund. , _ ' The president (Mrs Alex. Syme) and the vice-president (Mrs J. Jones) received the guests, and Mesdames Borthwick, Drury, and Rhodes-Wil-liams acted as hostesses. Prizes given by Mesdames J. Jones, J Evans (United Club), Rhodes-Wil-liams, and the St. James’ Club, were won by Mrs Moore (auction), Mrs J. Palmer (contract), Mrs Neale (hidden number), and Miss Spedding (“500”). • . . . Consolation prizes were awarded to Mrs Di Rago (auction) and Mrs Hosking (“500”). Amongst those present were Mesdames Syme, Haydock, P. Derrett, H. Anderson, J.
