BRITISH CREDITS TO TURKEY
PURCHASE OF ARMAMENTS MADE POSSIBLE LONDON, May 27. The Prime Minister (Mr Neville Chamberlain) announced in the House of Commons that three agreements had been signed with Turkey granting credits of £10,000,000 for goods manufactured in Britain, enabling Turkey to order warships and other war material.
Turkey had agreed to provisions that she should clear off past arrears.
