FOREIGN COUNT EXCLUDED FROM BRITAIN
EXPLANATION TO COMMONS
(BEITIBB OTFICIAI. WXEELESB.)
RUGBY, April 5,
The Under-Secretary to the Home Office (Mr Geoffrey Lloyd), replying in the House of Commons to a question, referred to the refusal to allow Count von der Goltz to land in Britain on March 13. Mr Lloyd said that the refusal was because it appeared that the _ purpose of Count von der Goltz’s visit was concerned with an industrial firm which was under investigation through the activity of another alien. Mr Lloyd added that he was unable to make a further statement until inquiries were completed.
