LABOUR REPRESENTATION COMMITTEE
ANNUAL MEETING HELD . An increase of 10,000 members was repqrted at the" annual meeting of the North Canterbury Labour Representation Committee last evening. There are now 67 affiliated organisations and 19,500 members. The financial position of the committee was stated to be sound.
The following officers were elected;— President. Mr J. Roberts; vice-presi-dent. Mr H. H. McCaw; secretary-treas-urer, Mr R. M. Macfarlane; executive, the Rev. W. Martin, Messrs T. Martin, F. Kelso, G. Samms, and Miss M. B. Howard; trustees, Messrs G. T. Thurston and A. Tongue; auditors, Messrs E. Parlane and F. Kelso.
