UNION’S ADVICE TO RESUME IGNORED
BUNEDIK, March 22. $ Although advised by their owb 1 union to return to work to-day, *0 contract workers engaged oh flat Waitati-Leith Valley road scbenA who refused to work on Monday because of the allegedly wrong measuring up of the amount el work done, did not resume their duties. The Public Works Department also advised the men to _return to work and in the mean time its engineers are investigating the position. The men showed little change ia their determination to continue their strike and a complete deadlock was reached to-day.
