INVERCARGILL SEAT
LABOUR MEMBER EXPECTED TO STAND AGAIN

INVERCARGILL, March 22
An official announcement that Mr W. M. C. Denham, M.P.. will again contest the Invercargill seat as the Labour candidate at the General Election is expected in a day or two. It is understood that Mr Denham will be the only nominee of Labour organisations in Invercargill. A meeting of members of the Invercargill branch of the National Party to-nigfet unanimously endorsed the selection of 3£,r F. G. Hall-Jones as the party’s candidate for the Invercargill seat. He will go to poll as a LiberalNationalist. It was announced that the selection had been approved by the Dominion Council of the party. A motion of confidence in the Hon. Adam Hamilton, leader of the party, was also carried.
