BAZAAR AT RAKAIA
The annual bazaar of the R.iKam Presbyterian Church was held in the Town Hall. There was a large attendance and the well-stocked stalls were well patronised. The funds of the church will benefit by more than it 89. A cake made and given by Hr S. Bryant was won by Mrs J. Dawsan, who guessed the correct weight. Mr V/. Ashford won the silver cup, giver, by Mr L. Burrowes, for the best sponge cake made by a man. A fancy dress parade was also held, and the prizes were awarded to Misses Phyllis Gray and Doreen Pluck (bride and bridegroom).
