♦ Government Change In Styria REPRESENTATION FOR NAZIS (UJIITBD PRZSS ASSOCIATION —COPTBIGHTJ (Received March 4, 10 p.m.) VIENNA, March 4. The authorities have confiscated Graz newspapers which were printing a communique permitting the swastika and the Hitler salute. The Minister of the Interior, Dr. von Inquart, has bowed to the wishes of the Nazis in agreeing to the reconstruction of the Styrian Provincial Government by the inclusion of three Nazis. General satisfaction is expressed in Vienna at the peace in Graz. Dr. von Inquart, after his return to Vienna, declared that the Styrian Nazis were fairly satisfied and unlikely to cause further trouble. It is expected that the Nazis will agree to join the Fatherland Front, giving moral and financial support, and recognising Austria's independence and sovereignty. It is expected that the peace will be extended throughout Austria. Importance is attached to talks between the Chancellor of Austria (Dr. Schuschnigg) and the Hungarian Foreign Minister (M. K. de Kanya), with the object of restraining Nazi activities in both countries. They are also said to be discussing relations with Germany, Rumania, and Czechoslovakia.
