ITALIAN CRUISER AT ADELAIDE
PROTEST AGAINST VISIT BY ANTI-FASCIST BODY ADELAIDE, February 28. There was only a handful of spectators on the wharf when the Italian cruiser Raimondo Monte Cuccoli arrived from Hobart, but about 600 attended a demonstration organised by the South Australian Council Against War and Fascism, as a protest against the visit of the cruiser. The meeting carried a motion protesting against the action cf the Premier (Mr R. L. Butler) in “inviting these agents of Mussolini to this state and entertaining them with the taxpayers’ money.”
