FATAL COLLAPSE IN SHIP’S HOLD
HEAT FOUND TOO TRYING BY PREVIOUS WORKER
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WHAKATANE, February 28. While working in the hold of the Northern Shipping Company’s vessel Otimai this morning, Aiden Stewart, a half-caste watersider. aged 34, collapsed and didd a few minutes after replacing another man who found the heat too trying. Stewart was a former Bay of Plenty Rugby representative. He is survived by his widow and three children. An inquest will be opened to-mor-row. •
