The need for motorists to exercise the most scrupulous care when driving through flocks of sheep was emphasised by Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M., at a special sitting of the Magistrate's Court to-day. James Robertson Stephen, of Mosgiel, a drover, 'proceeded against W. L. Gray and Son, of Abbotsford, Carters, alleging negligent driving of a lorry through a mob of sheep and responsibility for the death of a sheep dog. The claim was for £lO, the value of the dog.
