MAGISTRATE URGES CAREFUL DRIVING (I'BESS ASSOCIATION TEUSOBaIT.) DUNEDIN, February 28. The need for motorists to exercise the most scrupulous care when driving through flocks of sheep was emphasised by Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M., at a special sitting of the Magistrate's Court to-day. James Robertson Stephen, of Mosgiel, a drover, 'proceeded against W. L. Gray and Son, of Abbotsford, Carters, alleging negligent driving of a lorry through a mob of sheep and responsibility for the death of a sheep dog. The claim was for £lO, the value of the dog. After hearing the evidence, the Magistrate gave judgment for the plaintiff for the full amount claimed.
