"HE WHO RUNS MAY READ"
*0 THB EDITOR 01" THE PEESS. Sir, —"He who runs may read" is a corruption of "And the. Lord answered me and said, write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he mayrun that readeth it" (Hab. 2: 2). Strange to say the Scripture gives the opposite meaning—read then run—to the popular meaning. The vision that Habakkuk was to make plain pictured the destruction of the nominal Christian organisations (Catholic and Protestant) by the modern Babylonians (materialists). —Yours, etc., D. T. McWHIRTER. Lake Coleridge, February 23, 1938.
