POULTRY SHOW AT WOOLSTON
GOOD ENTRIES IN MOST SECTIONS
Some fine birds were benched at the annual show of the WoolSton branch of the New Zealand Poultry Producers' Federation, which was .held on Saturday. Altogether 170 entries were- received, and all classes were well represented. The quality of the heavy breeds was up to the standard maintained in past years, The winning male and-female birds were of exceptionally good quality, being splendid breeders, and easy to handle.-Good support was given to the Austral Orp. class, and as usual trie White Leghorn section was well represented.
In the pullet section several competitors were severely handicapped through birds being out of production. A number Of cockerels were not quite ready. Judges were:—Light breeds, Mr J. w. Green; heavy breeds, Mr A. W. Prltchard; egg classes, Mr L. Cocker.
