LOCAL BODY ELECTIONS
FULL TICKETS TO BE NOMINATED
CITIZENS' ASSOCIATION MEETING
The Christchurch Citizens' Association intends to nominate full tickets for the City Council. Harbour Board, and Hospital Board elections. This was decided upon at a largely attended and enthusiastic meeting of the general committee of the association last night. Mr W. S. MacGibbon was re-elected chairman of the committee.
The necessary committees were appointed to deal with matters connected with the forthcoming municipal elections, and the secretary reported that it was hoped that the list of the association's candidates would be available for publication within the next 10 days. The Mayoral election will be contested by a candidate to be nominated by the association.
