WEST CHRISTCHURCH OLD BOYS
ASSOCIATION HAS SUCCESSFUL YEAR
Another successful year, with increased membership, was presented at the twenty-eighth annual meeting of the West Christchurch Old Boys' Association, at which the president (Mr E. K. Phillips) presided. The association had continued to foster all branches of sport, as well as promote several successful dances, fhe report stated^ The financial statement showed the post office account standing at £239 12s Id, and the current account at £66 9 S 4d. The election of officers resulted:— Patron, Mr F. D. Waller; president, Mr W. W. Brough; vice-presidents, Messrs E. K. Phillips and Lloyd Arnold; secretary, Mr F. Milne; treasurer, Mr R. L. King; solicitor, Mr G. G. Lockwood; auditor, Mr R. W. Ling; committee, Messrs F. C. Bird, L. Booth, R. L. Evans, F. Hobbs, C. D. Sheppard. G. Stokes. J. K. Sutherland, and B. R. Walker. The headmaster (Mr A. E. Caddick) expressed thanks to the association for Us co-operation with him and his staff during the year, and congratulated the executive on a particularly good year's work. The association, he said, was Going excellent work for the school, and it provided a very necessary link between past and present pupils. '*; Mr Caddick was thanked for his remarks.
