SIRES’ PRODUCE STAKES, of £3335; seven furlongs:—Destiny Bay. Liana, Nuffield, Pandava. Llmulet, Lady Montague. ESSENDON STAKES, of £1000; one mile and a quarter—Young Crusader. Prince Quex, Gold Rod. Alinura, Damalis. The Brunswick Stakes field of 16 includes Mutable, Red Manfred, Gay Circle, and The Biff. FORMER N.Z. HORSE WINS AT MELBOURNE (Received February 24, 11.12 p.m.) MELBOURNE, February 24. Tooley Street failed to show up in a weak field in the Mornlngton Welter, which was run to-day at Mentone, but he should benefit from the run. The High-weight Handicap was won by the former New Zealander, Greenhorn. Ajax has drawn No. 14 barrier position in the Newmarket. This is unfavourable, but the colt is considered to have the race.
