SITTING AT GREYMOUTH HEAVY QUARTERLY LIST A lengthy list of cases is set down for hearing, before Mr Justice Northcroft, -at the quarterly sitting of the Supreme Court, which will commence at Greymouth next Wednesday. FUNERAL MR PATRICK CARROLL The body of Mr Patrick Carroll, the 22-year-old son of Mr and Mrs A. M. Carroll, of Greymouth, who lost his life in an accident in the Southern Alps nearly a fortnight ago, was brought to Greymouth on Monday evening. The funeral, one of the largest seen here for many years, took place yesterday. Requiem Mass was celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church in the morning by the Very Rev. Father J. Long, P.P., the Rev. Father Joyce (Ross) being in the sanctuary. In the afternoon the service at the graveside, at Karoro. was conducted by Father Long, Father Finnerty assisting. The bearers were Messrs P. Blanchfield (St. Bede’s College Old Boys’ Association), T. D. Duffy and W. Heinz (West Coast Alpine Club). D. Clancy, and S. McDonnell (Celtic Club)), and M. Gough.
