Tciit* A report from the sanitary inspector up to January 31 showed the borough to bd free of infectious diseases; . letter was received fi'Orh the Main Highways Board about the estimated cost of ividehihg WOfk .being done on the Lyttelton hill road, and was referred to the Borough Engineer for a report and estimate of the cost. It WdS reported that Mr H. J. Marriner had interviewed the works committee about the proposed.cherry tree avenue on the western of Wakefield avenue, between the Anglican Church and the Marine Hotel garage. Thd fcodheil was asked to define an area 18 feet in width as a footpatn reservation on which it was proposed to plant flowering cherry trees, two to every chain, and 15 feet from the boundary of private properties.
