MISS E. BOWBYES HONOURED An enjoyable pantry evening party was given at St. James' Sunday School-room by Misses Rae and Lynne Luxton, in honour of Miss Edith Bowbyes, whose marriage to Mr Harold Jennings will take place this week. In honour of the approaching marriage of Miss Evelyne Moore, Miss Pamela Shackleton and - Irs L. Halliday gave an enjoyable "kitchen" gift party at their home in Spreydon. The time was spent in games and dancing, and many useful gifts were received by Miss Moore. Prizes were won by Mrs W. Stamler, Mrs S. Hodge, and Mrs A. E. Burford, Messrs E. Brooke, R. B. Spear, and L. Hobbs.

Miss M. Gibson, whose marriage will take place this week, was the guest of honour at a tennis party given by Miss T. Mantell (Fendalton), who will be one of her bridesmaids. Miss Gibson received many useful gifts for her future home.

Aitken. Messrs H. Crampton and J. D. Boyd were masters of ceremonies. A lucky spot waltz was won by Miss D. Wright and Mr J. Miles.
