Mr John S. Kelly has returned to his home after undergoing an operation at the Christchurch Public Hospital.

Mr J. V. Wilson, chief of the central section of the Secretariat of the League of Nations, has arrived on a visit to Christchurch, where he was educated. He will remain in the city about 10 days.

Messrs C. Morgan Williams, M.P., and H. S. S. Kyle. M.P., were passengers from the north by the steamer express on Saturday morning.

Mr James Begg, of Dunedin, a member of the New Zealand Meat Board, was a passenger from Wellington by the Rangatira on Saturday morning.

Mr D. W. J. Gould was among the passengers from the north by the steamer express on Saturday morning.

Sir Charles Clifford was a passenger from Wellington by the Wahine yesterday morning. Sir Percy Sargood, accompanied by Lady Sargood, was among the passengers from the north yesterday morning.

Lord Malcolm Douglas-Hamilton, who is in New Zealand making arrangements for the English public schoolboys' tour this year, arrived in Christchurch on Saturday afternoon by air. He will remain in the city till to-mor-row as the guest of Mr Heathcote Helmore at "Millbrook." Lord Malcolm Douglas-Hamilton will leave for Dunedin to-morrow, flying in the Miles Hawk machine in which he arrived. Mr R. K. Jamieson, a member of the office staff of Hutchinson Motors, Ltd., who has been appointed accountant-secretary of David Crozier, Ltd., was presented with a travelling bag and ah attache case on Saturday morning by his colleagues on the staff of Hutchinson Motors, Ltd.

Mr S. G. Holland, M.P., returned from Auckland by air yesterday morning.
