DOMINIONS' RECORD PERCENTAGE FIGURES FOR 1937 [BBITISH OFFICIAL XVIBF.LESS.) RUGBY, January 20. The distribution of overseas trade in 1937 between British and foreign countries was as follows: — Imports worth £405,300,000 were drawn from British countries, and £623,800,000 from foreign countries, compared with £332,400,000 and £515,400,000 respectively in 1936. United Kingdom goods worth £252.000,000 were exported to British countries, and £269,600,000 to foreign countries, against £216.900.000 and £223,700,000 respectively in 1936. The proportion of imports from British countries in 1937 was 39.4 per cent., against 39.2 per cent, in 1936. and was the highest percentage ever recorded. The share of United Kingdom exports taken by British countries declined from last year's record figure of 49.2 per cent, to 48.3 per cent.
N.Z. MINISTER IN AUSTRALIA
MR PARRY TO INVESTIGATE PENSIONS SCHEME (Received January 21, 10 p.m.) SYDNEY, January 21. The New Zealand Minister for Internal Affairs (Mr W. E. Parry) arrived in Sydney this morning by the Awatea. He was met by Government representatives. Mr Parry expects to remain in Australia for about six weeks, during which' he will investigate a reciprocal pensions scheme between New Zealand and Australia.
