SCHOOLS' GARDEN COMPETITIONS
WEST SPREYDON WINS M'FARLANE SHIELD
McFarlane Shield and- Ashburton county school garden competitions results were announced at a meeting of the Canterbury Education Board yesterday. The results were:—
McFarlane Shield—West Spreydon (137 J points), 1, Mangamaunu and Ashburton Borough (132 points), equal, 2. North Canterbury Sole Charge Schools—Hapuku (125 points) 1, Little Rakaia (120 points) 2, Tormore (118 J points) 3. Ashburton County Schools (open section) —Flemington (86 points) 1, Ealing (84£ points) 2, Eiffelton (84 points) 3. Ashburton County Schools (sole charge section) —Flemington (86 points) 1, Ealing (84£ points) 2, Carew (65 points) 3.
