.—«— STATE CONTROL OF ARMAMENTS WHOLE INDUSTRY TO BE NATIONALISED IMPORTANT NEGOTIATIONS IN BERLIN (united feess association—copyright.) (Received January 20, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, January 19. The Berlin correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph" says important negotiations .are proceeding between the four-year plan authorities and the leading heavy industries, notably Krupp and Rheinmetall. The aim is to secure greater efficiency and economy by introducing further State control, followed by the nationalisation of the whole armaments output. It is also expected that a limit of six months will be set for the "Aryanisation" of the minor concerns remaining in Jewish hands. Herr Hitler is expected to tell industrialists that the title "fouryear plan" is not intended to imply its restriction to this period. On the contrary, the ideas underlying it will be the Nazis' permanent attitude toward trade and industry. ISSUE OF ANTI-JEWISH PAPER SEIZED ATTACK ON GERMAN CURRENCY DEPARTMENT (Received January 20, 5.5 p.m.) MUNICH, January 19. The police have confiscated the current issue of "Der Stuermer," Herr StreicherV anti-Semitic-weekly, because of an attack on the Currency Department, which is a)- ) lowing letters of credit on Switzerland to be used for the study of the Jewish religion. "Der Stuerrner" declares that such permission showed that the department was secretly in league with the Jev/s.
