The Algiers correspondent of the British United Press says that the local wireless station in a broadcast r .essage stated that it had picked up the following message from the British tanker Esturia: "During an intensive air raid on Valencia 500 children and a large number of adults were killed by bombs, which exploded benzine storage tanks." A Barcelona message states that an air raid, which was the worst the city has known, occurred when the streets were crowded with women and children. The aeroplanes dropped bombs weighing about 1000 pounds. . It is officially announced that 100 were killed and wounded. The Barcelona correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph" says the latest estimate is 150 killed and 200 wounded. The raid was carried out by six t"/o-engined bombers from Majorca. An earlier raid was driven back by Government fighter aeroplanes. . GERMAN WARSHIPS IN SPAIN GIBRALTAR, January 19. The German battleship Deutschland and the destroyers Falke and Grief, which arrived in the Algeciras roadstead on January 18, were joined by the insurgent cruisers Canarias and Baleares.
