NEW BANK BUILDINGS AT ASHBURTON
A start was made this week in the erection of new premises for the Union Bank of Australia at Ashburton, when a large number of men began work on a new residence for the manager in Havelock street west. This work will be put through as soon as possible to permit a start being made on the actual bank building. When the. residence has been completed the present bank will be removed to the rear of the section on the corner of East and Tancred streets and business will be continued there while the new structure is being erected.
