# IMPRISONMENT FOR TWO MONTHS CPIES3 ASSOCIATION TZLXGKAM.) WELLINGTON, January 20. Two months' imprisonment was imposed on Charles William Fines aged 26, a labourer, by Mr J. G. L. Hewitt, S.M., on charges involving the theft of goods to the value of £67. He was charged with the theft on various dates of a quantity of clothing, a woman's handbag, ornaments, and tools, of a total value of £45 from J. R. McKenzie's store, and a quantity of elements, an electric iron, immersion heaters, soldering irons, and electrical equipment of a total value of £22, from the National .Electric Company. The police offered no evidence on a further charge of thefts from McKenzies to a value of £7 18s, and this charge was withdrawn.
