NATIVE OFFICERS TO HAVE COMMAND

The Colombo correspondent of the “Daily Mail” says that for the first time in history a regular regiment of Cingalese, with British officers of senior rank until the Cingalese are fully trained, is being raised owing to the growing importance of Trincomalee as a flying base.
