Surmount s brilliant victory in the Wellington Stakes at Trentham. Brunhild was second and was followed by £migo and Francis Drake. When the field was brought into line for the first time Surmount dislodged his rider and galloped about seven furlongs before he pulled up. Be was remounted and trotted back to the post. The field was then sent away on good terms, Surmount giving a splendid performance.
