Government An odd parcel of Now Zealand Government 4 per cent, stock, due 1949, changed hands at £lO3 2s 6d and the 1955 stock had business at £lO3. Commercial Bank of Australia changed hands at 17s Id. and more were offered at that price. National Bank of Australasia, £5 paid, were dealt in at £7 Is 6d.. Bank of New Zealand appeared easier with sellers and business at 44s 3d. buyers at 445. South British Insurance. 10s paid, had business at 48s 3d. United Building were firm with sellers and business at 20s 9d. buyers at 20s 6d. New Zealand Breweries were steady at 475, sellers staying in at that price, buyers at 40s lOd. Miscellaneous Broken Hill Proprietary new issue were firm at 355. Electrolytic Zinc preference were firmer on buyers’ offers 525. G. J. Coles remained unaltered with sellers and business at 83s 6d, buyers - at 83s sd. New Zealand Farmers' Fertiliser were weaker at 19s Od. Taranaki Oilfields were weaker .with sellers and business at 6s 9d. buyers at 0s 7d. Woolworths, Limited, were firm with buyers and business at 25s 7d. sellers at 25s 8d W. R. Carpenter changed hands at 47s 5d and 47s 3d. Woolworths (South Africa) moved up to 14s 9d. sellers slaving in at that figure, buyers af 14s 6d. Mining Waihi Grand Junction changed hands at 3s. market closing 2s lOd buyers. 3s sellers. Broken LI ill South were weaker with sellers at 365, buyers at 35s lid.
