THE CENTENNIAL EXHIBITION
L* MILITARY BAND TO BE ENGAGED (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, January 18. *A meeting of the directors of the Centennial Exhibition Company decided upon the engagement of a military band. The selection was held over until the arrival of the general manager (Mr C. P. Hainsworth) from England. A meeting of overseas consuls will be held soon for the purpose of requesting their assistance in inducing the manufacturers of their various countries to participate. . Messrs Charles Todd and J. T. Martin will shortly visit the South Island to attend meetings for the purpose of interesting business firms in taking up a share of the capital and to discuss the display of products with provincial committees.
