SEXTON ADMITS FRAUD

At the Petone Court to-day, Oscar Meyar Lind Jacobsen, aged 44, a former sexton at the Taita cemetery, pleaded guilty and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence on a charge that between July 19, 1933, and July 6, 1937, he received various sums amounting in all to £215, on terms requiring him to account for and pay the money to the Cemetery Board, and fraudulently omitted to do so. thereby committing theft. The money was for burial fees and the sale of plots. ______________
