BADMINTON
♦ AUSTRALIAN TEAM TO TOUR DOMINION The probable itinerary for the tour of an Australian badminton team during June, 1938, has been received from the New Zealand Badminton Federation. It is expected that four men and four women, including several Australian title-holders, will comprise the team, and that on arrival in New Zealand the players will divide, one team touring the North and one the South Island, concluding with a test match in Wellington on June 25. Details of the itinerary of the South Island team are as follows:—v. Canterbury, at Christchurch, June 11; v. South Canterbury, at Timaru, June 13; v. North Otago, at Oamaru, June 15; v. Otago, at Dunedin, June 18; v. Southland, at Invercargill, June 22. The team will then return to Wellington to take part in the test match. m No effort has been spared To make the tour an enjoyable one for the visitors, and the team to tour the South Island will spend two days at either Mount Cook or at Queenstown.
