At the end of the first day of the test match between Lord Tennyson's eleven and India, India had made 121 in the first innings. Patiala made 41 not out, and Hindeekar 24. Gover took four wickets for 60 runs and Wellard three for 39.
Lord Tennyson's team in the first innings has lost two wickets for 100 xuns. Yardley is 59 not out and Edrich 39 not out. Hardstaff made one and Parks one.
