INSTITUTE DANCE AT PREBBLETON
A dance arranged by the committee of the Prebbleton Women's Institute and held in the Public Hall attracted a large number of visitors from Christchurch and from other centres. Novelty dances were won by Miss Aileen Gallagher and partner and Miss Suzanne Walker and partner. Les Kinsman's orchestra supplied the music for dancing and extras were played by Mr E. Bartram. The evening's competitions were won by Mrs E. Walker, Mrs C. Hands, Mr C. Hands, and Mr C. Kolkman (Southbrook). Mr H. Prebble was master of ceremonies.

Inwood, Misses Jean Warren, Florence Warren, Kathleen Tod, Nellie Gordon, Dulcie Brennan, Hazel Streeter, Olive Streeter, Linda Anderson, Elizabeth Anderson, Aileen Gallagher, Mavis Smith, Varnie Smith, Nancy James, Peggy O'Neill, Lilian Giles, Rhona Tod, Jeanne Morel, Suzanne Walker, Bigham, Edna Henderson, Leah Drayton, Joan Pimm, Daphne Cotton, Renee Gallagher, Jean Tomson, and Ngaire Tomson.
