ANTI-JAPANESE BOYCOTT
TO T OS EDITOR OE THE PRESS. Sir, —“For Peace” contends that the
Lyttoa Commission appointed by tile League of Nations in 1931 to visit Manchuria and report upon the SinoJapanesc conflict deprecated boycotts. I beg to point out that the commission also reported that the Japanese pos-
sessed the mentality of the Prussians at the time of the Franco-Prusslan war in 1870.
Such arrogance demands stem measures; and at the present time the boycott is by far the most effective. — Yours, etc., ALSO PEACEFUL.
