WAKANUI ROAD BOARD
The monthly meeting of the Wakanui Road Board was held yesterday, when there were present—Messrs F. Frampton (chairman), L. Hanrahan, J. W. Watson, and A. Bennett.
A gift of £1 Is was made to the Ashburton branch of the Plunket Society. It was decided to oppose an application from the clerk of awards for inclusion in the Christchurch clerks', cashiers', and office employees' award. It was reported that maintenance work had ben carried out on Elgin. Cochrane's, Milton, Bridge, Glassworks, Company's, Rule's, Hoatten's, and Le Breton's roads during the last month.
