RESIGNATION OF MR A. PRENTICE

APPRECIATION OF SERVICES TO HOSPITAL BOARD The resignation of Mr A. Prentice, who has been secretary of the Ashburton Hospital Board for 13 years, was received with regret at yesterday's meeting of the board. Mr Prentice will leave at the end of the year to take over the secretaryship of the North Canterbury Hospital Board, Mr W. G. Gallagher (chairman) congratulated Mr Prentice on his appointment, which, he said, was one of the most important positions in the service of New Zealand hospitals. The North Canterbury Board was fortunate in obtaining the services of a man of Mr Prentice's calibre. It was the wish of members of the Ashburton board that Mr Prentice would have a happy time at Christchurch.
