N.Z. DENTAL ASSOCIATION

ANNUAL CONFERENCE OPENING TO-MORROW The twenty-eighth annual conference of the New Zealand Dental Association will open in the Art Gallery, Durham street, to-morrow. Members of the association from all parts of the Dominion will be present. Amongst the visitors will be Mr J. J. Falconer (Hastings), president of the association, Mr A. H. SUCCESSFUL DANCE LIEDERKRANZCHEN FUNDS Misses Mary Garland and Nora Quarrell, two junior members of the Liederkranzchen choir, organised a very enjoyable dance which was held in the Navy League Hall on Saturday night in aid of the choir funds. The hall was effectively decorated with camellias, flowering currant, and spring flowers, and music was played by Tom Robson’s Melody Makers. Ballets danced by Miss Bessie Macdonalds pupils, and elocutionary items given by Miss Joan Masters, were much enjoyed. FAREWELL PARTY AT ASHBURTON An enjoyable time was spent at the Radiant Hall, Ashburton, on Saturday evening, when Miss Nina Buchanan gave a farewell party in honour of Miss Marjorie Wilkins (Christchurch), who will leave shortly by the Awatea for Australia to continue her nursing experience in Melbourne.
