Mrs Fred Waller (Auckland), who has been spending six weeks in Wellington, as the guest of Mrs Vivian Riddiford, will arrive in Christchurch to-morrow morning to visit her daughter, Mrs A. G. BrownDouglas, Fendallon. Mr and Mrs H. S. Wilkinson (Lower Hutt) arrived in Christchurch yesterday morning, and are the guests of Mr and Mrs Stanley Binns, Merivale. Mr Wilkinson will attend the dental conference which will open in Christchurch tomorrow. Mr and Mrs C. P. Agar (Colombo street North), who have been visiting England, will arrive in the Dominion by the Awatea to-day, and will return to Christchurch tomorrow morning. Mr and Mrs A. H. Boyes (Wanganui), who will be visitors to Christchurch for the dental conference, will stay at Warner’s Hotel. Mrs W. Gee-Tayler (Lower Hutt) arrived in Christchurch yesterday, and is the guest of J. R. McKenzie, “Roydon Lodge.” Mr J. Shaw-Thompson and Mrs Shaw-Thompson (Dunedin) will be visitors to Christchurch for the dental conference, and will stay at Warner’s Hotel. ’ Mrs A. L. Cropp (Gloucester street), Mrs Alan Boon (New Brighton), and Miss Myrtle Thomson (Cambridge terrace) will leave on Thursday for Wellington, where they will' connect with the Awatea for a holiday visit to Sydney. Miss Irene Wilson, principal of Queen Margaret College, Wellington, who has been visiting Invercargill and the Eglinton Valley, spent the week-end with her mother, Mrs J. H. Wilson, Cashmere Hills, and will go north to-night. Miss Moore-Wright (Hastings), who will attend the dental conference in Christchurch this week, will be the guest of Mrs Alexander Paterson, Cashmere Hills. Mrs M. Gibbs (formerly of Papanui road), who has been for a trip to the East, will return to Christchurch to-morrow morning. Dr. and Mrs C. H. Tait (Dunedin) and Dr. and Mrs R. I. Sutton (Napier) will be guests at Warner’s Hotel during the dental conference this week. Miss Jean Horwell (Timaru) will be a competitor in the Dominion golf tournament beginning in Napier on September 30. She and Miss Valmai Fleming won the championship foursomes last year in Dunedin, and they will defend their title. Mr and Mrs C. H. Moses (Auckland) and Dr. and Mrs K. C. Morpeth (Wellington) will be visitors to Christchurch for the dental conference this week, and will stay at Warner’s Hotel. Dh and Mrs G. H. Gilbert (Geraldine) will visit Christchurch for the dental conference, which will open to-morrow. Miss Eleanor Foster (Riccarton) will leave Christchurch next Monday for Auckland to join the Rangitane on September 23 for a visit to England. Mrs Andrew Todd (Merivale), who has been visiting Mrs A, B. Moffett, Invercargill, returned home on Saturday. Miss Colin Pyne, who has been spending several months in Auckland, will return to Christchurch this week. Dr. and Mrs S. A. Gibbs (Nelson), who have been visiting London, have left for a trip to Austria. The itinerary includes Vienna, Budapest, and Prague. Some years ago, Dr. Gibbs spent a considerable time on the Continent, but Prague will be new to him. The marriage took place on August 20 at Bridport Church, England, of Mr William O’Brien Lindsay, third son of Colonel and Mrs M. E. Lindsay, of Craigfoodie House, Fife, grandson of Mrs E. J. Riddiford, of Wellington, and Miss Jane Sevilla Glass-Hooper, third daughter of the late Mr G. Glass-Hooper and Mrs Glass-Hooper, of Downe Hall, Bridport.
