OPPOSITION LEADER'S INTENTION DEFENDING INTERESTS OF THE PEOPLE I [From Our Parliamentary Beporterl I WELLINGTON, September 12. A motion of no confidence in the Government will be moved In the House of Representatives on Thursday by the Leader of the Opposition j (the Hen. A Hamilton). Mr Hamilton said yesterday that this step was in accordance with the attitude of the National Party in opposing the Government's method of conducting the business of the country. j "We feel it our duty," he said, "to ] oppose by every possible constitutional mean", those parts of the Governments policy which we believe have reacted seriously to the detriment of the Dominion. The people expect us to defend their interests, and although we have been left small in numbers, I can assure them that in the full sense of our responsibility we intend to exercise all the rrjhts of an opposition to examine fully all legislation introduced by the Government and also its administration." i -1
