THE SUBCONSCIOUS MIND
POWER TO REBUILD LIFE CLAIMED The influence and the powers of the subconscious mind were described in detail in an address On “The Three Minds of Man,” given by Sister M. G. Davies to the Theosophical Society last evening. Sister Davies said that the subconscious mind governed all the involuntary functions of the body, and had power to rebuild life. She recommended her audience to give instructions to their subconscious minds just before sleeping, and those instructions properly given would be obeyed. Other suitable times for making suggestions to the subconscious mind were times of fasting, frugal eating, and great emotional stress. Dreams were signs of the activity of the subconscious mind. They were the language of it, and the symbols of the thoughts and impressions of the conscious mind. . . The other minds of man of which Sister Davies spoke were the conscious mind and the Super-conscious mind. The supffc-conscious mind, she said, was the spirit of life and the inspiration of man.
