RESIGNATION OF DR. SCHACHT
Reported Change In German Cabinet DISAPPROVAL OF NAZI POLICY (tnmED psiss association—coptbioht.) (Received September 11, 1.30 a.m.) LONDON, September 10. The Berlin correspondent of "The Times" says that reports of the resignation of Dr. Hjalmar Schacht (German Minister for National Economy) should be treated with caution, although under the four-year plan General Goering's office (Ministry for Air) and the army have largely superseded the Ministry for Economy. The Ministry's ' foreign relations have been conducted by its Secretary of State (Dr. Posse), who is an expert in such matters. It is nevertheless expected that Dr. Schacht wiil remain President of the Reichsbank, and possibly a member of the Cabinet. It was reported yesterday that Dr. Schacht had handed his resignation to Herr Hitler on account of his disapproval of the Nazi economic policy. The Berlin correspondent of the British United Press states that it has been revealed that Dr. Schacht recently sent a memorandum to Herr Hitler demanding measures for the stimulation of exports and the diversion of more raw materials to manufactures instead of to rearmament and public works.
