PHAR LAP'S SKELETON TO BE MOUNTED

"Phar Lap was bred in our South Canterbury district, and we should point that out in our letter," remarked a member of the Geraldine Racing Club Committee, when it was decided at their meeting last night to grant £2 2s toward the cost of erecting the skeleton of the horse in the Dominion Museum. That the sum of £175 was required by the Board of Trustees of the National Art Gallery and Dominion Museum. Wellington, to erect the skeleton of the horse, Phar Lap. was mentioned in a letter from the secretary of the New Zealand Racing Conference. . The Takapuna Jockey Club had already given £5 5s toward the cost of mounting the skeleton, the letter said. Donations should be forwarded to the secretary of the Board of Trustees, National Art Gallery, Wellington.
