TO-DAY'S PROGRAMME The light harness season in the Wellington district will be opened at Hutt Park to-day, when good-sized fields promise to provide first-class racing. The win-and-place system of betting will be in operation, and the following horses should race well m their different engagements:— Nai Nai Handicap—Prince Harvester, Winnie Parrish. Hutt Park Trial—Anna Wong, Taruna. Twenty Grand. Bollard Memorial Handicap—U. Scott, Lady Fame, Frisco Lady. Wellington Stakes—Two's Loose, Sandusky, Horsepower. Railway Handicap Labourman, Oversight, Rollalong. Wilford Handicap—Swordsman, Winnie Parrish. Sharpe Handicap—Anna Wong, Taruna, Bayard. Wellington Handicap—U. Scott, Lady Fame, Southern Smile. ACCEPTANCES (FBSSS ASSOCIATION TBI.EOBAM.) AUCKLAND, September 10. The following are the acceptances for the first day's events at the Avondale Jockey Club's spring meeting;—

cellent response from owners and trainers appears assured. The principal events, the Jellicoe and Labour Day Handicaps, are worth £3OO each, with a limit of 4min 36sec, two miles, and the chief sprint races, the Electric and Remuera Handicaps, are endowed with £225, a limit of 2min 47sec. The class for the better performed trotters has been reduced 1 to 4min 49sec, compared with 4min 53sec for the corresponding events last year, while the maiden trotters are catered for with the Waitemata Handicap (3min 49sec), one mile and a half, on the first day, and the Green Lane Handicap (smin 3scc),' two miles, on the second day.
