BUDGE WINS QUARTER-FINAL (Received September 10, 9.1 p.m.) FOREST HILLS, September 9. The following were results in the quarter-finals of the national lawn tennis championships:— Men's Singles J D. Budge beat Hunt, 6-1, 6-2, 6-4.-Women's Singles Miss Helen Jacobs beat Miss K. Stammers, 7-5, 6-3. Mile. J. Jedrzejowska beat Miss R. M. Hardwick, 6-4, 6-2. Earlier results were: — Men's Singles—Riggs beat C. E. Hare, 5-6, 1-6, 6-3, 6-0, 7-5; F. A. Parker beat J. van Ryn, 6-2, 12-10. 6-2. Women's Singles—Senorita Lizana beat Mrs van Ryn, 6-1, 6-1.
